GAME DESIGNER & DEVELOPER

Knight Knight is a 2D Side-scrolling platformer that features mechanics inspired by Gameboy classics like Super Mario and Wario Land. Trello was utilized as a an organization resource to meet deadlines and keep track of tasks/issues. This game features several unique enemies including a free floating enemy which chases and shoots and the player. A patrolling enemy which attacks the player using melee, and a large enemy which runs toward the player after being triggered. There are several environmental hazards which will hurt the player, many unique platforms with different movements which the player must learn to proceed. This game also contains classic side-scrolling features such as coins to collect, health pick-ups, fun classic music and effects.






GAME DESIGNER & DEVELOPER

Mischief Managed is a 2D Top-Down Arcade Style Survival game that takes place in a lab setting. In this game, you take the role of a newly hired scientist having a very.. interesting first day. The lab you've been hired to work at has conducted experiments involving Genetic Mutation for over a decade. During your initial tour of the building, a sudden power outage causes the room to go pitch black. You begin to hear unidentified shrieks and the screams of your co-workers as the scientists around you start to run towards the nearest elevator. Unable to move in your panicked state, you get knocked over by the fleeing scientists and as you hit the ground everything goes silent.





TECHNICAL GAME DESIGNER

Stranded Shallows is a Level Based Survival game in which the player is attempting to escape back to civilization. The player must avoid enemies and sustain their hunger and thirst while they work their way through a series of island and cave based levels. This game was created using Blueprints in Unreal Engine by a team of six students including myself. This is the final version of our capstone project which took six months to complete.




GAME DESIGNER
Coin Capture is a board game which I designed while challenging myself to keep the entirety of the rules and board within two sheets of paper. This game uses various coins and pawns and is meant to be playable by anyone, anywhere. I drew inspiration for this idea while studying The Royal Game of Ur in college. The goal of Coin Capture is to be the first the capture all of your opponents gold.



GAMEPLAY ENGINEER
During the creation of these levels I was tasked with creating two game mechanics and designing a level around them. The two chosen mechanics were Item Snapping and the use of a Lever System to expose hidden passages. The level that I created is set in and around an abandoned mansion. The player has been hired by a wealthy individual to make their way into the mansion's upstairs office and retrieve a valuable hard drive which was left behind.
